Celeste Louissant, known by his customers as the “Bahamas Rockman”, has built rock walls and walkways for a wide variety clients throughout the Bahamas.
Celeste worked for four years for Chris Blackwell, owner of Island Outpost resorts and founder of Island Records. Celeste was responsible for all the rock work at Island Outpost’s Compass Point in Nassau and the world famous grounds at Pink Sands on Harbour Island, as well as the Pineapple Fields resort on Eleuthera.
Since 2006, Celeste has been responsible for all rock work for Eleuthera Design and Developers of Governors Harbour and their diverse range of custom home developments. For ED & D clients, Celeste has created world-class landscape rock walls and constructions used for plantings and to create visual barriers between lots, as well as stone paths, driveways, and driveway aprons. He also built the large and much-admired stone entranceway and apron at Buttonwood Reserve, Eleuthera, south of James Cistern.
Celeste has around him a team of fast and capable workers all trained under his expert eye. His work goes beyond craftsmanship into a genuinely creative and artistic realm.
